IOC ATTACKS BELIEVERS IN PIRAVOM
PIRAVOM: Today IOC
goondas staged an attack in the church compound. 4 of our believers
got injured and admitted in the Lakeshore Hospital Ernakulam with
head injuries.
19-10-2009 is the first anniversary of the Great IOC ian work of
destroying the Holy Kurisadi at Piravom IOC want to celebrate
that!!!. They published a notice justifying the satanic act and
glorifying the entry of their Catholica to the destroyed Kurisadi.
When they tried to distribute that notice in the church, church
members blocked that. The IOC Goons of Piravom led by Fr. Joseph
Mankidi are very much worried now a days as they lost the case of
Nechoor Church. (Of cource the mammon power of IOC is again playing
/ trying dirty tricks with the judiciary). All the 20 Family units
in the Piravom Valiya Palli is performing very well. They conducted
the annual competition and celebration in the Church on 17-10-2009.
ON seeing this unity and to prevent the spiritual rise, frustrated
Mankidi planned the attack. They are now targetting the family unit
co-ordinator Fr. Varghese Panachiyil. Because the family units are
acting as Gods Instrument in foiling the wicked plans of IOC.
On 18-10-2009 by 17.30 four people of IOC, Thekkumootil Sunny, Siren
Babu, Thekkumootil Babu, Moolakkuzhi Johny (the Known IOC goondas of
Piravom) came to our church. Before that Siren Babu observed the
church and made sure that no KEFA members are inside the church
compound and Fr. Panachiyil is inside the church. After the Bible
class Fr. Varghese was talking with diocean member, Sri Baby
Thachamattom and Sri Kunnath Georje an active member of the Church.
With abusing words they reached Fr. and Siren Babu tried to beat
him. When Baby thachamattom prevented that they kicked him off and
began to beat Sri Georje. By this time somebody Phoned Georjes house
which is near by His son Jijin and KEFAS unit president Anson
reached the spot immediately. They tried to prevent the attack on
Fr. Panachilyil and got head injuries. I saw ANSON and Jijin in the
Piravom hospital with full of Blood. Later in the night they were
shifted to Lakshore Hospital. Today on the first anniverary of
satanic show by IOC (destroying the Kurisadi) we are planning for a
Prarthana Yanjam in front of the Kurisadi. As expected Todays
Manorama Reported that SOC attacked IOC members who went to the
cemetery of Piravom church for prayer!!!!
Please pray for the youths and Pray for Godly intervention to
eliminate Satan and his agents from Piravom.

BRONX, NEW YORK: The annual
consultation between the Oriental Orthodox Churches and the Roman
Catholic Church in the USA was held at the Cardinal Spellman Retreat
Centre in the Bronx, New York on Wednesday, September 30 and
Thursday October 1. Participants came from the Oriental Orthodox
Churches (Armenian, Coptic, Ethiopian and Syriac Orthodox) and the
Roman Catholic Church. Holy Syriac Orthodox Church was represented
by His Eminence Mor Cyril Aphrem Karim, Arch Bishop of Eastern US, Very Rev.Fr. John Meno and Rev. Fr.

International Airport, here on Oct 09, 2009. Clergy of the diocese,

GREECE: His Grace Dr.
Mor Coorilos Geevarghese was given the longest and the
loudest applause of all at Crete, after his presentation on “The
Nature and Mission of the Church”, delivered at the Plenary
Commission of the Faith and Order Commission of the World Council of
Churches, being held at the Orthodox Academy of Crete in Greece.
Dr.
Mor Coorilos in his capacity as Moderator of the Commission on World
Mission and Evangelism (CWME) of the WCC also brought greetings to
the Conference from the Syrian Orthodox Patriarchate of Antioch and
all the East. Several respondents at the conference referred to the
presentation of Mor Coorilos as the highlight of the Plenary
Commission. The Conference would conclude on 13th of October, 2009.
His Eminence Dr. Youhanna Ibrahim Gregorios of Alleppo represents
the Syrian Orthodox Church on the Faith and Order Commission and Mor
Coorilos was invited as special guest to the conference in his
capacity as Moderator of CWME. The Rev. Cannon John Gibaut, the
Director of Faith and Order termed the speech of Mor Coorilos as
“the turning point of the Conference”. The Rt. Rev. John William
Hind, the Anglican Bishop of Chichester observed that “the
presentation of Mor Coorilos touched the right note and provided a
new direction to the Faith and Order work”. Sr. Lorelei Fuchs of
the Roman Catholic Church termed the presentation as “the most
powerful of all the speeches heard at the conference”. The speech of
Mor Coorilos became the talking point and the reference point for
subsequent deliberations at the conference. Around 150 theologians
and church leaders from all over the world participated in the
Conference.

"We have learned that Mr. Eldhose
Kavungumpillil who has been ex-communicated and stripped off from
holy priesthood by the Patriarch is continuing to function as a
'priest' in UK even after the ex-communication. The Holy Father
has made it clear that whatever he does after the
ex-communication would be deemed null and void and he and those
who associate with him would therefore be accursed. We invite
our readers to read all these bulls which will give you some
indication about Eldhose's past history of indiscipline and
arrogance and how he was being dealt with over the years. He is
probably the only one in our history whom the Holy Father had to
take disciplinary action more than once. He is now trying to
make it as as issue between Mor Coorilos thirumeni and him which
is not the case. Even during the time of Mor Gregorios Joseph
Metropolitan, he had been involved in such arrogant and

here) of suspending Eldhose, you would know that he had the
audacity to prevent a thirumeni (Mor Gregorios Joseph) from
entering a church in London and even to threaten thirumeni with
police action!!! Our Church leadership has made it clear that the
chapter on Eldhose koungumpillil is now closed and will not be
re-opened. You may have noticed that he is now trying to confuse
our faithful in the UK by publishing unfounded and baseless news
in the media. You may have also noticed that it is the websites
(eg. MOTV) and fora of the dissident "methran kakshi" people
that are now enthusiastically supporting Eldhose and his
dissident group and exploiting the situation. This further
proves that Eldhose and his group have been constantly
associating with the "methran kakshi" people in the UK for a
long time. We have also learned that a holy bull by His
Beatitude informing our churches in Malankara about Eldhose's
ex-communication will be read soon. Let us continue to pray for
the repentance of Eldhose Koungumpillil".

KICK-OFF CEREMONY

kick-off
ceremony of our silver jubilee convention is scheduled to be held at
St. Peter's Jacobite Syrian Orthodox Church, Pennsylvania on October
10th Saturday 2009 after the Holy Service. All are requested to
participate this colourful occasion. Our Archbishop H.E Mor
Titus Yeldho and other church dignitaries will attend this auspicious
event. Arrangements and preparations for the grand success of Silver

at St. George JSO Church, here, near Shimoga on October 5, 6.
Metropolitans Their Graces Dr. Mor Theophilose Kuriakose, Mor
Chrisostomos Markose & Mor Anthonios Yaq'ub celebrated Holy Tri Mass
on October 6, Tuesday. Feast was concluded with nercha and rassa.
Later a public function was convened which was inaugurated by Dr.
Mor Theophilose Kuriakose Metropolitan to honour Chev T V Vijay. Adv
A C Jayaraj, Founder President of Karnataka Malayalee Christians
Association (KMCA) was the chief guest. Metropolitans were given
grand welcome at Narasimharajapuram on October 5, Monday evening.
This is the first Jacobite church
in this area, which was established in 1952. For the past few
decades, Very Rev A V Jacob Cor Episcopa Arakkal serves the parish
as the vicar. This is the mother church of around 6 churches in this
area. The Holy Relics of St. Ignatius Elias II was installed in
1977. The church has 6 chapels, including one Soonoro Chapel at
Susalwadi. The church runs an aided Kannada Medium Upper Primary
School. The main feasts are on Jan 15 (St. Mary), Feb 13 (St.
Ignatius Elias III), May 23 (St. George) & Oct 5, 6 (St. Baselios
Yeldho). The church has become a pilgrim centre in Karnataka. The
church is under The Evangelical Association of the East (EAE).

Metropolitan of Kochi Diocese & Secretary to the Holy Episcopal
Synod in Malankara, His Grace Dr. Mor Gregorios Joseph was the chief
celebrant of the Holy Tri Mass held. His Grace unveiled the "phaino"
& "pheero" of the L.L. metropolitan and offered dhoopaprarthana at

Regional Theerthayathra to the Holy Tomb of Mor Clemis
Abraham held on Sep 29, Tuesday. Regional Metropolitan of Knanaya
Arch Diocese His Grace Mor Gregorios Kuriakose flagged off the
theerthayathra at 2.00 PM after the Remembrance Meeting and
Dhoopa Prarthana at the Regional Head Quarters here.
Theerthayathra reached Chingavanam at 6.30 PM after receiving
warm welcome at various Knanaya Jacobite churches in the region. The
theerthayathra received blessings at the Head Quarters of
Jacobite Syrian Orthodox Church, Niranam Diocese, Theeram

Church, here on Sep 29, Tuesday. A remembrance meeting was held
after the Holy Qurbono. Thomas Chazhikkadan MLA inaugurated the
meeting. Adv Tino K Thomas, Thiruvarp Thomas spoke on the occasion.

THIRUVALLA: Kallisserry Region Knanaya Students' Association (KSA)
started functioning. Fr. K O Joseph inaugurated. Metropolitan of
Kallisserry Region of Knanaya Arch Diocese H.G Mor Gregorios
Kuriakose delivered the benedictory speech. Fr. Aby Sacharia,
Regional President of KSA presided over the function.
