പ്രതിഷേധിച്ചു ശ്രേഷ്ഠ കാതോലിയ്ക്കാ ആബൂന് മോര് ബസേലിയോസ് തോമസ്
പ്രഥമന് ബാവയുടെ നേതൃത്വത്തില് യാക്കോബായ സഭാ വിശ്വാസികള് രാമമംഗലം
പോലിസ് സ്റ്റേഷന് ഉപരോധിച്ചു.ഇന്ന് വൈകിട്ട് വീട്ടില് നിന്നും
രാമമംഗലം പോലീസ് ജോയിയെ അറസ്റ്റു ചെയ്യുകയും സ്റെഷനില് ഹാജരാക്കാതെ
കോടതിയില് കൊണ്ട് പോയി റിമാന്ഡ് ചെയ്യുകയും ചെയ്തു.സഭ തര്ക്കം
രൂക്ഷമായ മാമാലശ്ശേരി മാര് മിഖായേല് യാക്കോബായ സുറിയാനി പള്ളിയില്
കഴിഞ്ഞ ദിവസമുണ്ടായ സംഘര്ഷത്തെ തുടര്ന്നായിരുന്നു പോലീസ് നടപടി.സംഘര്ഷത്തില്
ഇരു വിഭാഗത്തെ വിസ്വസികള്ക്കും പരുക്ക് പറ്റിയിരുന്നു.യാതൊരു വിധ
പ്രശ്നങ്ങളിലും ഉള്പ്പെട്ടിട്ടില്ലാത്ത ജോയിയെ പോലീസ് കള്ളക്കേസില്
കുടുക്കി ജയിലിലടച്ചത് വിശ്വാസികളില് കടുത്ത പ്രതിഷേധം
ഉണ്ടാക്കി.സംഭാവമാറിഞ്ഞു രാമമംഗലം പോലീസ് സ്റ്റേഷനിലെയ്ക്ക് വിശ്വാസികള്
കൂട്ടമായെത്തി. തുടര്ന്ന് അഭി അലിയാസ് മോര് അത്താനാസിയോസ്
മെത്രാപ്പോലിത്ത,അഭി.മാത്യൂസ് മോര് അപ്രേം മെത്രാപ്പോലിത്ത എന്നിവര്
സ്റ്റേഷനില് എത്തി ഉപരോധ സമരത്തിനു തുടക്കമിട്ടു. വൈകിട്ട് 5 .30 നു
ശ്രേഷ്ഠ കാതോലിയ്ക്കാ ബാവ പോലീസ് സ്റ്റേഷനില് വരുകയും ഉപരോധ സമരം
കൂടിതല് ശക്തിപ്പെടുത്തുകയും ചെയ്തു.സുന്നഹദോസ് സെക്രട്ടറി അഭി. ജോസഫ്
മോര് ഗ്രീഗോറിയോസ് മെത്രാപ്പോലിത്ത ,അഭി കുര്യാക്കോസ് മോര് തെയോഫിലാസ്
മെത്രാപ്പോലിത്ത,അഭി.ഐസക് മോര് ഒസ്ത്താതിയോസ് മെത്രാപ്പോലിത്ത,അഭി
മാത്യൂസ് മോര് ഈവാനിയോസ് മെത്രാപ്പോലിത്ത എന്നിവരും
സ്ഥലത്തെത്തി.സ്ത്രീകളുംകുട്ടികളുമടക്കം നൂറു കണക്കിന് വിശ്വാസികള്
പോലീസ് സ്റ്റേഷനില് കുത്തിയിരുന്നു പോലീസ് നടപടിക്കെതിരെ മുദ്രാവാക്യം
വിളിച്ചു.യാക്കോബായ വിശ്വാസികളെ ആക്രമിച്ച മെത്രാന് കക്ഷിക്കാര്ക്കെതിരെ
നടപടിയെടുക്കാതെ യാക്കോബായ വിശ്വാസികള്ക്കെതിരെ മാത്രം കേസ് എടുത്തു
പീഡിപ്പിക്കുന്ന പോലീസ് നടപടി അവസാനിപ്പിചില്ലങ്കില് കടുത്ത സമര
പരിപാടികളിലേയ്ക്കു സഭ കടക്കുമെന്ന് ശ്രേഷ്ഠ ബാവ പറഞ്ഞു.പുത്തന്കുരിശു
സി ഐ ക്കെതിരെയും രാമമംഗലം എസ് ഐ ക്കെതിരെയും നടപടിയെടുക്കാമെന്ന് സര്ക്കാരിന്റെ
ഭാഗത്തുനിന്നും ലഭിച്ച "ചില" ഉറപ്പുകളുടെ അടിസ്ഥാനത്തില് സമരം
അവസാനിപ്പിക്കുകയും സ്റ്റേഷനു സമീപം പ്രത്യേകം തയാറാക്കിയ പന്തലില്
ബാവയും അഭി തിരുമേനിമാരും സന്ധ്യ നമസ്കാരം നടത്തി. തുടര്ന്ന് സെന്റ്
ജേക്കബ്സ് ക്നാനായ ചാപ്പലിലേയ്ക്ക് റാലിയായി പോവുകയും പ്രതിഷേധ യോഗം
ചേരുകയും ചെയ്തു.ശ്രേഷ്ഠ കാതോലിയ്ക്കാ ബാവയും , അഭി. ജോസഫ് മോര്
ഗ്രീഗോറിയോസ് മെത്രാപ്പോലിത്ത ,അഭി കുര്യാക്കോസ് മോര് തെയോഫിലാസ്
മെത്രാപ്പോലിത്ത എന്നിവര് വിശ്വാസികളെ അഭിസംഭോധന ചെയ്തു സംസാരിച്ചു.ഇതേ
സമയം അറസ്റ്റു ചെയ്യപെട്ട ജോയി ടി പി തുണ്ണാമലയിലിനെ "ദേഹാസ്വസ്ത്യത്തെ"
തുടര്ന്ന് മുവാറ്റുപുഴ താലൂക് ഹോസ്പ്പിറ്റലില് പ്രവേശിപ്പിക്കുകയും
ചെയ്തു.ഈ വിവരം കരഘോഷത്തോടെയാണ് വിശ്വാസികള് സ്വീകരിച്ചത്.ഈ സമയം ജോസഫ്
വാഴയ്ക്കന് എം എല് എ എത്തി സര്ക്കാരിന് വേണ്ടി ബാവയുമായി ചര്ച്ച
നടത്തി.സര്ക്കാരിന്റെ ഉറപ്പിനെത്തുടര്ന്ന് സമര പരിപാടികള്

Service At Trinity Theological Seminary, Accra, Ghana
ACCRA, GHANA: The Commission on World
Mission and Evangelism of the World Council of Churches celebrated
the 50th anniversary of the historic integration of the
International Missionary Council with the WCC in New Delhi, 1961
with a public seminar and a thanks giving service at the Trinity
Theological Seminary, Ghana. Rev. Dr. Mercy Amba Oduyoye, former
Deputy General Secretary of WCC delivered the sermon and Dr. Mor
Coorilos Geevarghese Metropolitan, Moderator of CWME presided over
the service. Rev. Dr. J.O.Y. Mante, the President of the Seminary
welcomed the gathering and Dr. Jooseop Kuem, the Director of WCC
team on Mission and Evangelism proposed Vote of Thanks.

ahead of the All Malankara Jacobite Syrian Bible Convention every
year, was held this year at the Mor sabore Afroth Jacobite Syrian
Simhasana Valiyapally, Thuruthissery on 26th November, 2011. H.G.
Dr. Mor Athanasius Eliyas Metropolitan, the president of the
Convention Central Committee Presided over the meeting. Fr. Alias
Ipe Parackal, the Vicar welcomed the gathering. Very Rev. George
Manthottam Cor-Episcopa, the General Secretary, Fr. Isaac Paul, Fr.
Paulose, Fr. Varghese Areeckal and Chev. Joy P. George spoke on the
occasion. Members from the Bible Academy, Chevaliers, Commanders,

പരുക്കേറ്റ യാക്കോബായ സഭാ വിശ്വാസികളായ പട്ടരുമഠടത്തില് അലക്സ് ,ചെമ്മനയില്
അജിത് എന്നിവരെ കോതമംഗലം മാര് ബസേലിയോസ് ഹോസ്പ്പിറ്റലിലേയ്ക്കു
മാറ്റി. കുറ്റക്കാര്ക്കെതിരെ നടപടിയെടുത്തില്ലങ്കില് പോലിസ്
സ്റ്റേഷന് ഉപരോധം ഉള്പ്പടെയുള്ള സമരപരിപാടികളുമായി സഭ രംഗത്ത്

along with a group headed by Rev. Ramban Mathew Karimpanackal,
Secretary to the Patriarch, Malankara Affairs visited Mor Sabore
Afroth Jacobite Syrian Orthodox Simhasana Valiyapally,
Thuruthissery on 25th November 2011 at 7.30. a.m. Dr. Mor
Athanasius Eliyas, the resident Metropolitan and Fr. Alias Ipe
Parackal, the Vicar arranged a warm reception to the delegation
at the church premises. Soon after the Luthiniya, H.G. Mor
Philoxenos Mathiyas addressed the faithful expressing profound
happiness and deep sense of gratitude for the warm reception
accorded. “The relationship between Antioch and Malankara will
last forever as the sign of solidarity in the Body of Christ...”
Mor Phelexinos added. A light refreshment was arranged for all
present.

തെരഞ്ഞെടുക്കാനുള്ള ഉത്തരവാദിത്തം സഭാംഗങ്ങള്ക്കുണ്ടെന്നും
ശ്രേഷ്ഠ കാതോലിക്ക ബസേലിയോസ് തോമസ് പ്രഥമന് ബാവ
പറഞ്ഞു.അനൂപ് ജേക്കബിനെ സ്ഥാനാര്ഥിയാക്കണമെന്നു സഭ നിര്ബന്ധിച്ചിട്ടില്ല.
തെരഞ്ഞെടുപ്പും സഭാതര്ക്കവും കൂട്ടിക്കുഴയ്ക്കുന്ന നീതി സഭയ്ക്കില്ല.
വിവരവും കഴിവുമുള്ളയാളെ തെരഞ്ഞെടുക്കാന് വോട്ടര്മാര്ക്കു
കഴിവുണ്ട്. കഴിഞ്ഞ എല്.ഡി.എഫ്. സര്ക്കാര് സഭയ്ക്ക്
ഒട്ടേറെ നന്മകള് ചെയ്തിട്ടുണ്ട്, യു.ഡി.എഫ്. സര്ക്കാര്
നന്മകള് ചെയ്യുമെന്നു കാത്തിരിക്കുകയാണ്. അറിയിച്ചു. എല്ലാ
സര്ക്കാരുകളെയും കുറ്റപ്പെടുത്തുന്ന സമീപനമാണ് ഓര്ത്തഡോക്സ്
വിഭാഗത്തിന്റേത്. ക്രിസ്തീയത നഷ്ടപ്പെടുന്നതാണു തര്ക്കം
തീരാത്തതിനു കാരണം. കോലഞ്ചേരി പള്ളിത്തര്ക്കത്തില്
ഇടപെടുന്നതിന് സര്ക്കാരിനു പരിമിതികളുണ്ടെന്നു ബാവ
ചൂണ്ടിക്കാട്ടി.
സഭാതര്ക്കം ചര്ച്ചകളിലൂടെ പരിഹരിക്കണമെന്ന
കോടതി നിര്ദേശം മാനിക്കാന് ഓര്ത്തഡോക്സ് സഭ തയ്യാറാകണമെന്ന്
ശ്രേഷ്ഠ ബാവ പറഞ്ഞു. 2001ല് സുപ്രീം കോടതിയും 2010ലും 2011ലും
ഹൈക്കോടതിയും സഭാതര്ക്കം കോടതിക്കുവെളിയില്
പരിഹരിക്കപ്പെടണമെന്ന് ആവശ്യപ്പെട്ടിരുന്നുവെങ്കിലും എതിര്
വിഭാഗത്തിന്റെ നിഷേധാത്മക നിലപാടാണ് സഭാ സമാധാനത്തിന് തടസ്സമായി
നില്ക്കുന്നതെന്ന് ബാവ ചൂണ്ടിക്കാട്ടി.
യാക്കോബായ സഭ ഇക്കാര്യത്തില് എന്നും തയ്യാറായി
മുന്നോട്ടുവന്നിട്ടുമുണ്ട്. സഭ എന്നും സമാധാനം കാംക്ഷിക്കുന്നു.
അതിനാല്, തര്ക്കമുള്ള പള്ളികളില് റഫറണ്ടം നടത്തി ഭൂരിപക്ഷം
വരുന്ന വിശ്വാസികള്ക്ക് പള്ളി വിട്ടുനല്കുവാന് നടപടി വേണം.
ന്യൂനപക്ഷത്തിന്റെ ന്യായമായ അവകാശങ്ങള് സംരക്ഷിക്കപ്പെടുകയും വേണം.
കോലഞ്ചേരി പള്ളിത്തര്ക്കത്തില് ഓര്ത്തഡോക്സ് വിഭാഗത്തിന്റെ
നിഷേധാത്മക നിലപാടാണ് പ്രശ്നപരിഹാരത്തിന് തടസ്സമായി നില്ക്കുന്നത്.
ബഹുഭൂരിപക്ഷം വരുന്ന വിശ്വാസികള്ക്ക് ആത്മീയ ആവശ്യങ്ങള്
നിറവേറ്റാന് കഴിയാതെ വരുന്ന സാഹചര്യമുണ്ടാകാന് പാടില്ല.
പള്ളിയും സ്വത്തുവകകളും ഇടവകവിശ്വാസികള്
സമ്പാദിച്ചിട്ടുള്ളതാണ്. പുത്തന്കുരിശ് പള്ളിയില് യാക്കോബായ
സഭയ്ക്ക് അനുകൂലമായ വിധിയാണുള്ളതെങ്കിലും മറുവിഭാഗത്തിനും
ആരാധനാ സ്വാതന്ത്ര്യം അനുവദിക്കണമെന്ന നിലപാടാണ്
സഭയ്ക്കുള്ളതെന്നും അദ്ദേഹം പറഞ്ഞു.
മാമലശ്ശേരി മാര് മിഖായേല് പള്ളിയില്
ഭൂരിപക്ഷം വിശ്വാസികള്ക്കും ആരാധനയ്ക്ക് അവസരമില്ല. അവിടെ
വൈദികസ്ഥാനികര്ക്കല്ല സഭയ്ക്കാണ് സ്റ്റാറ്റസ്കോ ആനുകൂല്യം

LONDON: His Highness, the Prince honoured Syriac Orthodox
Church by presenting the knighthood, Grand Cross of the Royal
Order of Francis I (GCFO) to the Archbishop of UK, Mor
Athanasius Touma Dawod in a grand function held here. Among the
awardees includes, Archbishop Gregorios of Greek Orthodox
Church. His Highness, in his message praised the humanitarian
works of Archbishop Athanasius and appraised the role, His
Holiness Patriarch Ignatius Zakka I Iwas and Syriac Orthodox
Church leads in Christian Community around the globe. Archbishop
Athanasius now on will be called as 'Archbishop Sir Mor
Athanasius Touma Dawod GCFO'.
Knight Grand Cross (or
Dame Grand Cross) is the most senior grade of seven British
orders of chivalry, three of which are obsolete. The rank
entails admission into knighthood, allowing the recipient to use
the title 'Sir' (male) or 'Dame' (female) before his or her

Third International Syriac Colloquium took place in
Vienna Metropolitans Mor Gregorios Yuhanna Ibrahim & Dr. Mor
Theophilose Kuriakose represented Syriac Orthodox Church
VIENNA: The Third Colloquium Syriacum, organised by Pro-Oriente
was held at Vienna from November 9-11 2011.Scholars, who belong
to the syriac tradition were invited to the Conferance. The
focal point of the meeting was the special Synod for the Middle
East which took place in Rome. The Syrian Catholic Patriarch H.B
Ignatius Yussif iii Younan inaugurated the conferance. Cardinal
Schönborn, the Arch bishop of Vienna expressed his hope that the
oriental churches with their unbroken tradition going back to
the beginning of Christianity will some day will be able to live
in their home countries in freedom of religion and conscience.
The pattern of the
programme of the meeting was to have each session focused on a
special topic arising from the special synod for the Middle
East: General Experience, Results and reactions,
Christian-Muslim, Christian-Jewish, Christian-Christian and
Church State implications. Papers were presented on the topics
and extensive exchange and discussions took place.The conferance
discussed about the present situation of christians in the
Middle East; their struggles and sufferings, marginalisation and
persicutiion. The conference underlined the need of the
Christian Unity especially in those regions and pleaded for the
freedom of conscience along with the freedom of religion of the
christians in the Middle East. It is noticed that the universal
charter of human rights is either violated or absent in many of
the Middle East countries and the conference called upon the
immediate attention of the International Human Right
Organisations in this regard.19 scholars participated from
differant parts of the world.

SAYYIDNAYA, DAMASCUS: Around 100,000 Catholics and Anglicans
joined Holy Syriac Orthodox Church in Brazil. The Syriac
Orthodox Church has about 100 000 new members in Brazil. It's
about Portuguese people who were previously Catholics and
Anglicans, who found his spiritual home in the Syriac Orthodox
Church. His Holiness the Patriarch approved and blessed 2
bishops and 2 priests who represented around, 80 priests and
more than 100,000 believers who joined in the Syriac Orthodox
Church Community. The official request was submitted to His
Holiness around 2 years ago and since then they were working for
the Church's development in Brazil. The two Syrian Orthodox
bishops called Jolino Gomes Neto (Archbishop) and Jose Faustino
Filho and 2 priests, are now in the Patriarchate. They met with
His Holiness before His Holiness’s departure to Cairo and
discussed the church's growth in Brazil and other related
matters. Mor Silvanus Peter Al-Nehm, Metroploitan of Homs and
Hama and Mor Philoxenus Mattias Nayis, Patriarchal assistant
were present during the discussions. Holy Father decorated

Holiness Patriarch Ignatius Zakka I Iwas attended in the 40th
Anniversary celebrations of the enthronement of HH Pope Shenouda II
at Cairo. His Holiness Abba Paulos of Ethiopian Orthodox Church, His
Holiness Catholicos Aram I of the Armenian Church-Holy See of
Cilicia were the other Canonical Heads of Oriental Orthodox Churches
attended in the celebration. His Holiness Pope Shenouda III is the
117th Pope of Alexandria and Patriarch of the Holy and Apostolic See
of St. Mark. His Holiness Karekin II Supreme Catholicos of all
Armenians, His Beatitude Catholicos Baselios Thomas I Maphrian of
the Syriac Orthodox Church could not attend the function due to
other engagements. His Holiness Patriarch Ignatius Zakka I Iwas
conveyed the message and prayers of Catholicos of India, His
Beatitude Baselios Thomas I of Syrian Orthodox Church. As His

CAIRO: His Holiness
Patriarch Ignatius Zakka I Iwas decorated His Holiness Pope Shenouda
II of Coptic Orthodox Church with the Golden Cross of St. Ignatius,
the highest honour of Syriac Orthodox Church, in a solemn function
which was held at the Head Quarters of Coptic Orthodox Church. The
Metropolitans who were honoured with this Golden Cross till now are
Mor Osthatheos Kuriakose (1988), Mor m or Osthatheos Matta Rohum
(2009), Bishop Jerome (2009), Mor Theophilose George Saliba (2010)
and Mor Gregorios Yuhanna Ibrahim (2011). The Medal comprises
of Golden Cross and chain, made of 24 ct Gold, and will be presented
to honour clergy for their outstanding contributions in ecumenism

and Human Rights in Geneva
GENEVA: Dr.
Mor Coorilos Geevarghese, Metropolitan of Niranam Diocese and
Patrairchal Vicar for UAE presented a paper on Theological and
Ethical Perspectives on HIV and Human Rights at the International
Conference organized by the Ecumenical Advocacy Alliance Network and
the UNAIDS in Geneva. The Consultation was held at Hotel Chavannes
de Bogis in Geneva from 10-12 November 2011. About 30 participants
attended the conference.

the Bangalore Diocese of the Jacobite Syrian Orthodox Church, H.G.
Mor Osthatheos Pathrose on Nov 5, 2011. The meeting which lasted
over one and a half hours was at the residence of the bishop in
Hoskote, Bangalore.
Rev. Jacob reminded the bishop of the long and
deep relationship of UTC and the Jacobite Syrian Orthodox Church.
The bishop in turn thanked the college for educating many priests
and bishops of the church. The bishop offered all support and
prayers for up coming projects of the UTC and discussed ways of a
long lasting partnership and understanding between the church and
the college. Rev. Jacob invited H.G. Mor Osthathios to visit UTC and

its Annual Day Celebration on 14th November, 2011. Mor Anthonios was
the Chief Guest on this occasion. Special invitee on this occasion
was Mr.P.C.Sharma, The District Congress Committee Chairman. Shri
K.C Mathew welcomed the guests. The Principal of the School, Mrs.
Annie Biju rendered the annual report of the school. A colourful
program was presented by the students on this occasion. The

The Sleeba Prathishta of the renovating Manthalir St. Thomas
Jacobite Syrian Orthodox Church has been held on Sunday, November
13, at 11 AM after the Holy Qurbono. The Sleeba was blessed by HG.
Mor Miletheos Yuhanon, the diocese metropolitan. Fr. Samson Varghese
(vicar), Fr. Jinu Zachariah( Asst. vicar) and Very. Rev. Thomas Cor
Episcopa were the co-celebrants. After the function a sadya was also
coducted. This church was established in 1863 under the Holy See of
Antioch.

NEW DELHI:
Jacobite Syrian Orthodox Youth Association Delhi Diocese Organised
Night Vigil on 11th Nov 2011 (11/11/11) at St. Peter's Patriarchal
Cathedral, New Delhi. The overnight program was covered with
classes, adoration, glorious devotional hymns, prayers followed by
confession and counselling. Priests from Delhi Diocese with their
presence blessed the occasion and classes were conducted by them.
The program started with devotional songs by Delhi Diocese coir team
followed by Lord’s prayer and prayer of dedication.
Fr. Benny
Abraham briefed about the basic faith and beliefs of Jacobite Syrian
Orthodox Christians and its origin. Rev.Fr. Paulson Edakkattil
blessed the gathering by his class on ‘Divine Calling’. Rev. Fr.
Issac Mathew illustrated in his speech the ‘qualities to be followed
in our life’. Fr. Shiju George and Fr. Cherian Ipe led the adoration
prayer and worship. An excellent skit on ‘moral values of Christian
life’ was performed by Youth Association in between the classes.
Holy Qurbono was celebrated early in the morning by Very Rev.
Markose Kocheril Corepiscopa.

of Six Bishops of Armenian Orthodox Church
VAGHARSHAPAT, ARMENIA:
On Sunday 6 November 2011, His Eminence Archbishop Mor Cyril
Aphrem Karim attended the celebration of the Holy Liturgy presided
over by His Holiness Karekin II Supreme Catholicos of all Armenians
at the Cathedral Church of Holy Etchmiadzin. During the celebration
6 vartabeds (celibate priests) of the sister Armenian Orthodox
Church were consecrated as bishops. Two of the new bishops: Their
Graces Haygazoun Najjarian and Vahan Hovanessian served as priests
in Eastern Diocese of the Armenian Church in the New York Area under
the leadership of His Eminence Archbishop Khajag Barsamian. His
Eminence conveyed the blessings and prayers of His Holiness
Patriarch of Universal Syriac Orthodox Church, Ignatius Zakka I Iwas
to His Holiness Catholicose and newly consecrated Bishops.

Council elected for UK Patriarchal Vicariate Sunday School Classes
will be telecasted online from India from 2012 January
NEWCASTLE:
The new council for the Patriarchal Vicariate of UK was elected in
the meeting held on October 24 at St. Gregorios JSO Church here.
Metropolitan Mor Aphrem Mathews presided over the meeting. The new
office bearers for the Spiritual Organisations like Vanitha Samajam,
Sunday School, Youth Association, Family Units were elected. Fr.
Raju Cheruvallil will serve the vicariate as the Secretary and Fr.
Peter Kuriakose as Clergy Secretary. Shri Andrews will be the
Treaurer of the Coucil. The council meeting held later in the
presidentship of Mor Aphrem recalled the efforts of Dr. Mor Coorilos
Geevarghese (Former Patriarchal Vicar) and thanked His Grace for his
contributions to the vicariate for the past three years.

SWITZERLAND: Fr. Jomy
Joseph, Vicar of St. Mary's JSO Church, Switzerland is awarded
Doctorate (PhD) in Eco Theology from Salsbury University,
Switzerland. The Association of Orthodox Churches in Switzerland,
AGOF congratulated him on his achievement in a meeting held at
Switzerland. Fr. Dr. Jomy Joseph is only the Second person in
Malankara having done research in Eco Theology. Dr. Mor Coorilos
Geevarghese Metropolitan is the first person in Malankara who has
done research in Eco Theology.

The 109th Dukhrono of St. Gregorios of Malankara was celebrated
at St. Mary’s Jacobite Syrian Orthodox Church, Ahmedabad with
evening prayers on Nov 5. On Nov 6th, the Holy Qurbono was
celebrated by Rev. Fr. Kuriakose Kollannoor, assisted Rev. Fr. John
Mathai, which was followed by special intercessory prayers to St.
Gregorios with incense, Sermon, offerings and benediction. Rev. Fr.
Kuriakose Kollannor recalled the prayerful life of St. Gregorios and
wished especially the youth to follow the Saint’s path. Special
prayers of incense was also held on the 45th Dukhrono of Late

Gregorios of Chathuruthil (Parumala Thrumeni) on 5th and 6th of

Manthalir, St. Thomas JSOC today.
Manthalir: Today early morning the
chengannur methran of IOC with few people entered the disputed
Manthalir church for worship without any notice. Jacobites under the
leadership of Fr.Samson Vargese (Vicar) and Jinu Zachariah ( Asst.
Vicar) prevented their action. Police intervened and CI of Police
Pandalam ordered IOC not to enter the disputed church for worship
until the final verdict. The original suit will be taken in High
Court this thursday. All are requested to continue their prayers for
the win of truth.

ANGAMALY: The 109th Dhukrono
(Memorial Feast) of Chathuruthy Gregorios Kochuthirumeni has been
celebrated at Simhasana Valiyapally, Thuruthissery on Sunday, the
30th October, 2011. Rev. Fr. Alias Ipe Parackal, the Vicar offered
holy Qurbono followed by special intercessory prayers to St.
Gregorios with incense. In his Memorial talk, Fr. Alias Ipe recalled
the steadfast faith and allegiance of Saint Gregorios thirumeni to
the Holy Throne of St.Peter (Antioch) and also to the Patriarchs of
the Universal Syrian Orthodox Church time to time. “Mor Gregorios
was the embodiment of all divine virtues and God’s Love”-Fr. Alias
Ipe added. In the evening, special intercessory prayers were held at
the Cross-vault which was named after the sacred name of Chathuruthy
thirumeni, near the National Highway. Nercha was distributed to all
present after the Gospel message by Rev. Fr. Alias Ipe Parackal, the
Vicar. Mr. P.P. Kuriachen, Mr. P. V. Mathewkutty, Mr. Baby Mathew,
Mr. M. V.Varghese were at the forefront to lead the perunal
arrangements.

Festival of St. George Universal Syrian Orthodox Reesh Church (Valiyapally),
Kuwait, organised by Mar Baseliose Social and Cultural Association (MBSCA),
was celebrated at Integrated Indian School, Abbassiya on Friday, Oct
28th with a full-day multifaceted entertainment programme. The
Harvest festival was officially inagurated by H.E Mr. Satish C.
Mehta, The Ambassador of India to Kuwait and the meeting was
presided over by His Grace Mor Osthatheos Ishaq, the Patriarchal
Vicar for Kuwait. Parish Vicar, Rev. Fr. Sajan T. John welcomed the
gathering. Felicitation speeches were delivered by MP Mr. Anto
Antory, Rev. Immanuel Ghareeb, Rev. Fr. Biju Kavatt, Rev. Chacko
Thomas and Mr. K.P. Koshy. As part of the meeting the Harvest
Festival Souvenir was released by His Grace Mor Osthathios and Mr.
Dinu Chandran from Western Union, the main sponsor. Mr. T. A Ramesh,
Country Head of Gulf Mart was honoured during the meeting with
memento. Mr. Jacob John, Church Trustee, Mr. Varghese T. Chacko,

Syriac Orthodox Church, in the Global Inter religious Meeting held
at Assisi recently. His Eminence met His Holiness Pope Benedict XVI,
and conveyed the blessings and message of His Holiness Patriarch
