ഭദ്രാസന കണ്‍വന്‍ഷനോടനുബന്ധിച്ചുള്ള കൊടി ഉയര്‍ത്തല്‍ ചടങ്ങ്‌ ഭദ്രാസന മെത്രാപ്പോലീത്ത കുര്യാക്കോസ്‌ മാര്‍ യൗസേബിയോസ്‌ നിര്‍വഹിച്ചു. വ്യാഴാഴ്‌ച ആറുമണിക്ക്‌ പ്രാര്‍ത്ഥനയോടുകൂടി ആരംഭിക്കുന്ന കണ്‍വന്‍ഷനില്‍ കത്തോലിക്കാസഭ തൃശൂര്‍ അതിരൂപതയുടെ സഹായ മെത്രാന്‍ മാര്‍ റാഫേല്‍ തട്ടില്‍ ഉദ്‌ഘാടനം നിര്‍വഹിച്ച്‌ മുഖ്യ പ്രഭാഷണം നടത്തും. ആറിന്‌ വൈകിട്ട്‌ ക്‌നാനായ അതിഭദ്രാസനത്തിലെ ഫാ. ജേക്കബ്‌ നടയിലും ഏഴിന്‌ സെമിനാരി റസിഡന്റ്‌ മെത്രാപ്പോലീത്ത ഡോ. കുര്യാക്കോസ്‌ മാര്‍ തെയോഫീലോസും വചനപ്രഘോഷണം നടത്തും. എട്ടിന്‌ ഭദ്രാസന യൂത്ത്‌ അസോസിയേഷന്റെ ആഭിമുഖ്യത്തില്‍ ക്രിസ്‌മസ്‌ പുതുവത്സര ആഘോഷങ്ങള്‍. പുല്‍ക്കൂട്‌, കരോള്‍ ഗാനം, ക്രിസ്‌മസ്‌ ഫാദര്‍ തുടങ്ങിയ മത്സരങ്ങളും ഉണ്ടായിരിക്കും. തുടര്‍ന്ന്‌ ഭദ്രാസന മെത്രാപ്പോലീത്ത ക്രിസ്‌മസ്‌ ന്യൂ ഇയര്‍ സന്ദേശവും നല്‍കും. 

വൈകിട്ട്‌ ആറിന്‌ സന്ധ്യാപ്രാര്‍ത്ഥന, 6.30ന്‌ ഗാനശുശ്രൂഷ, 7.30ന്‌ വചനശുശ്രൂഷ, 9ന്‌ സമാപനഗാനം തുടങ്ങിയ സമയ ക്രമത്തിലാണ്‌ കണ്‍വന്‍ഷന്‍ നടത്തപ്പെടുക. കൂടാതെ 6, 7, 8 തീയതികളില്‍ രണ്ടുമുതല്‍ ഭക്‌തസംഘടനകളുടേയും കുടുംബയൂണിറ്റ്‌ ഭാരവാഹികളുടേയും സംഗമവും നടക്കും.

പൂത്രിക്ക സെന്റ്‌ സ്റ്റീഫന്‍സ് യാക്കോബായ പള്ളിയില്‍ യൂത്ത് അസോസിയേഷന്‍ സംഘടിപ്പിക്കുന്ന സുവിശേഷ മഹായോഗം അഭി. കുര്യാക്കോസ് മാര്‍ ഈവാനിയോസ് മെത്രാപ്പോലിത്ത ഉദ്ഘാടനം ചെയ്തു.  ഇടവകയില്‍ നിന്നും കണ്ടനാട് ഭദ്രാസന യൂത്ത്  അസോസിയേഷന്‍ സെക്രട്ടറിയായി തെരഞ്ഞെടുക്കപ്പെട്ട സിനോള്‍ വി സാജുവിനെ യോഗത്തില്‍ അഭി തിരുമേനി പൊന്നാട അണിയിച്ചു ആദരിച്ചു.വികാരി ഫാ ഫിലിപ്പ് വര്‍ഗീസ്‌ അദ്ധ്യക്ഷത വഹിച്ച  യോഗത്തില്‍ എല്‍ദോസ് പി ജോയ് സ്വാഗതം ആശംസിച്ചു. യൂത്ത്  അസോസിയേഷന്‍ കേന്ദ്ര ജനറല്‍ സെക്രട്ടറി ബിജു സ്കറിയ, ട്രസ്റ്റി വി പി കുര്യാക്കോസ്, സാജു.കെ.പി എന്നിവര്‍ പ്രസംഗിച്ചു. സിനോള്‍ വി സാജു കൃതജ്ഞത പറഞ്ഞു.

ന്യൂയോര്‍ക്ക്‌: ശാന്തിയുടേയും സമാധനത്തിന്റേയും സന്ദേശം പകരുന്ന ക്രിസ്‌മസ്‌ ആത്മീയവും വര്‍ണ്ണാഭവുമായ പരിപാടികളോടെ വൈറ്റ്‌ പ്ലെയിന്‍സ്‌ സെന്റ്‌ മേരീസ്‌ സിറിയന്‍ ഓര്‍ത്തഡോക്‌സ്‌ ദേവാലയത്തില്‍ ആഘോഷിച്ചു. തിരുജനന പെരുന്നാള്‍ ശുശ്രൂഷകള്‍ 25-ന്‌ രാവിലെ 7.30ന്‌ ആരംഭിച്ചു. ഇടവക വികാരി റവ.ഫാ. വര്‍ഗീസ്‌ പോള്‍ മുഖ്യകാര്‍മികനായിരുന്നു.

തിരുജനനത്തിലൂടെ മാനവരാശിക്ക്‌ കൈവന്ന പുത്തന്‍ ഉണര്‍വ്വും പ്രതീക്ഷകളും നമ്മുടെ ജീവിതത്തില്‍ സ്വീകരിക്കുവാന്‍ തയാറാകുമ്പോഴാണ്‌ ക്രിസ്‌മസ്‌ ആഘോഷങ്ങള്‍ പൂര്‍ണമാകുന്നതെന്ന്‌ റവ.ഫാ. വര്‍ഗീസ്‌ പോള്‍ പ്രസ്‌താവിച്ചു. ആരാധനാ മധ്യേ ക്രിസ്‌മസ്‌ സന്ദേശം നല്‍കുകയായിരുന്നു അദ്ദേഹം.

തുടര്‍ന്ന്‌ നടന്ന ആഘോഷപരിപാടികള്‍ക്ക്‌ കോര്‍ഡിനേറ്റര്‍ അഡ്വ. ജോജി കാവനാല്‍ നേതൃത്വം നല്‍കി. ഇടവക സെക്രട്ടറി പി.കെ. ജേക്കബ്‌ ഏവര്‍ക്കും ക്രിസ്‌മസ്‌ മംഗളാശംസകള്‍ നേരുകയും കലാവിരുന്നുകളിലേക്ക്‌ ഏവരേയും ഔദ്യോഗികമായി സ്വാഗതം ചെയ്യുകയും ചെയ്‌തു. ഇടവകയിലെ കലാപ്രതിഭകള്‍ ഒരുക്കിയ വിവിധ കലാപരിപാടികള്‍ ആഘോഷങ്ങള്‍ക്ക്‌ വര്‍ണ്ണപ്പൊലിമ നല്‍കി. `ബോണ്‍ ഓഫ്‌ എ വിര്‍ജിന്‍' എന്ന എന്ന സ്‌കിറ്റ്‌ ഉന്നത നിലവാരം പുലര്‍ത്തി. നോബി പോള്‍ നേതൃത്വം നല്‍കി ഇടവക ഗായകസംഘം ആലപിച്ച ക്രിസ്‌മസ്‌ കരോള്‍ ഗാനങ്ങള്‍ ഹൃദ്യമായി. `എന്റെ ക്രിസ്‌മസ്‌' എന്ന വിഷയത്തെ ആസ്‌പദമാക്കി കുമാരി മേഘാ മാത്യു നല്‍കിയ ലഘു സന്ദേശം ക്രിസ്‌മസിനെക്കുറിച്ച്‌ യുവജനങ്ങള്‍ക്കുള്ള കാഴ്‌ചപ്പാടുകളും, പ്രതീക്ഷകളും പകരുന്നതായിരുന്നു. സണ്‍ഡേ സ്‌കൂള്‍ കുട്ടികളുടെ ക്രിസ്‌മസ്‌ ഗാനങ്ങളും ആകര്‍ഷകമായിരുന്നു.

വൈവിധ്യമാര്‍ന്ന പാചകറാണി-ക്രിസ്‌മസ്‌ കേക്ക്‌ മത്സരവും ആവേശവും രുചിയും പകര്‍ന്ന്‌ ഏവരുടേയും മുക്തകണ്‌ഠമായ പ്രശംസയേറ്റുവാങ്ങി. വാശിയേറിയ മത്സരത്തില്‍ ഏറ്റവും രുചികരമായ കേക്കിനുള്ള പുരസ്‌കാരം നേടിക്കൊണ്ട്‌ ടീന ജേക്കബ്‌ വിജയിയായി. അവതാരകയായി പ്രവര്‍ത്തിച്ച മീന കാവനാലിന്റെ പ്രകടനം ഉജ്വലമായിരുന്നു. സാന്റാക്ലോസായി വേഷമിട്ട സാജു പൗലോസ്‌ മികച്ച പ്രവര്‍ത്തനം കാഴ്‌ചവെച്ചു. മഞ്‌ജുമോള്‍ തോമസ്‌, ജോര്‍ജിയ, ജോസിയ, നോബി പോള്‍, സുനില്‍ മഞ്ഞനിക്കര എന്നിവര്‍ പരിപാടികളുടെ വിജയത്തിനായി പ്രവര്‍ത്തിച്ചു. ട്രഷറര്‍ റെജി പോള്‍ കൃതജ്ഞത രേഖപ്പെടുത്തി. വിഭവസമൃദ്ധമായ ക്രിസ്‌മസ്‌ വിരുന്നോടെയാണ്‌ പരിപാടികള്‍ സമാപിച്ചത്‌.

Mor Anthonios Yaqu`b visits St. George JSO Church, Faridabad

FARIDABAD: Mor Anthonios Yaqu`b, Metropolitan of Mangalore Diocese & Honnavar Mission visited St. George Jacobite Syrian Orthodox Church, Faridabad recently. It was Bishops first visit to the  church. Vicar Fr. Jijan Abraham, church managing committee members and large number of faiths gathered  to receive Mor Anthonios. After the reception retreat and a Love feast were arranged.

'Hrudhayathinayi.. Hrudhayapoorvam' project of Sharjah Soonoro Cathedral inaugurated officially

PUTHENCURIZ: 'Hrudhayathinayi... Hrudhayapoorvam', project of Sharjah Soonoro Cathedral was inaugurated officially at Puthencuriz Convention by His Beatitude Catholicos of India, Dr. Baselios Thomas I by handing over the hospital card to Kum. Nimmi Mohandas, on December 26, Monday. Patriarchal Vicar to Sharjah, Dr. Mor Coorilos Geevarghese presided over. Metropolitans Mor Aphrem Mathews, Dr. Mor Athanasius Elias, Vicar Fr. Joshi Mathew Chitteth, Trustee Shri. K K Roy, Joint Secretary Shri. Saji P George were present. This project of Sharjah Cathedral is in association with various multi specialty hospitals in Kerala and Asianet Radio 657 AM.

His Holiness decorates Dr. E C Abraham with the Order of Commander and Medal of St. Aphrem

GEORGIA: His Holiness Patriarch Moran Mor Ignatius Zakka I Iwas, has delivered an Apostolic Bull to decorate Dr. E. C. Abraham with the order of "COMMANDER" in considering the outstanding performance and various contributions of him in church, medical, social and charity fields. Dr. Edathara Chacko Abraham (Dr.E.C.Abraham), one of the famous Indian Medical Professional in North America has been serving the Holy Church as the Chief Executive Medical Officer of St. Ephrem Syrian Orthodox Medical Mission and also the Senior Professor of University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences .The COMMANDER induction ceremony will take place at St. Mary's Jacobite Syriac Orthodox Church in Augusta, Georgia today after the Holy Qurbono celebrated by His Eminence Mor Titus Yeldho Metropolitan and assisted by V. Rev. Mathew Thomas Edathara Corepiscopo, the Vicar and Clergy Secretary of Malankara Archdiocese.

Dr. E. C. Abraham started his career as a junior lecturer in Mor Athanasius College, Kothamangalam. Later he joined and served six years at Christian Medical College (CMC) Hospital in Vellore as a Clinical Biochemist. During that period along with Dr. P. Koshy, the most famous physician in Vellore, Commander Dr. Abraham took the initiative to start Syrian Orthodox service and served as altar assistant. His experience in Vellore CMC led to a scholarship offer from the University of Louisville(Kentucky) College of Medicine for the sake of completing doctoral education.

After successfully completing the course he had accepted a faculty position in Medical College of Georgia in Augusta,GA, and later appointed as the fulltime professor. During that period he had organized all malayali families resided at Atlanta and started a worship on a regular basis, later this fellowship led to the formation of St. Mary's Jacobite Syrian Orthodox Church in Augusta. His Holiness appointed him as the Chief Executive Medical Officer of the Syriac Orthodox Medical Mission.

CHENGARA: Dr. Mor Coorilos Geevarghese, Metropolitan of Niranam Diocese spent the Christmas day in Chengara where thousands of landless and homeless people are still struggling for their right to a homeland. Dr. Coorilos was accompanied by priests from Niranam diocese, leaders of Kerala Council of Chruches and Fr. Abraham Zacharaiah of the Marthoma Church. Shri Laha Gopalan and other leaders of the struggle received Mor Coorilos and the group.

KUWAIT CITY: Mor Baseliose Youth Association (MBYA), the spiritual fellowship of the youth members of St. George Universal Syrian Orthodox Reesh Church, Kuwait, officially launched its Housing Project for destitute persons. Metropolitan, His Grace Mor Theodosius Mathews unveiled the design of the housing unit in a function organized on Friday, December 24 at the National Evangelical Church, Kuwait. H.G. Mor Theodosius inaugurated the fund raising by receiving donations from Chev. Bijou Varghese and Shri. Kurian Mathew. Parish Vicar, Fr. Sajan T. John, Secretary Shri. Johnson Varghese, Trustee, Shri. Jacob John, Joint Secretary Shri. Varghese Chacko, MBYA Secretary Shri. Monsy Chacko, Treasurer Shri. Abhilash George were also present.

Beginning from the year 2012, MBYA, as part of it’s charity activities, plans to build and donate a house to one destitute person each year in one of the Dioceses in Kerala. Idukki Diocese has been selected as the beneficiary for the inaugural year of this Charity program. MBYA intends to extend this charity activity to the other dioceses in the coming years.

"Santharathri", Christmas Carol Service held at Mepral St. Johns Jacobite Syrian Orthodox Church

MEPRAL: Youth Association of Niranam diocese organized Christmas Carol Service at Mepral St. Johns Jacobite Syrian Orthodox Church on December 23rd. Dr. Mor Coorilos Geevarghese, the diocesan Metropolitan gave the Christmas Message. Priests of the diocese attended the service. Choir groups from various churches participated in the carol.

His Beatitude Catholicos of India, Dr. Baselios Thomas I, Metropolitans Their Graces Dr. Mor Severios Abraham of Ankamali, Dr. Mor Theophilos Kuriakose of Seminary & Central Europe, Mor Milithios Yuhanon of Thumpamon, Reesh Dayaroyo Mor Dionysius Geevarghese of Manjanikkara, Mor Eusebios Kuriakose of Thrissur & Ireland, Dr. Mor Coorilos Geevarghese of Niranam & UAE, Dr. Mor Athanasius Elias of Viswasa Samrakshana Samithy & Qatar, Mor Ivanios Kuriakose of Knanaya Archdiocese, Mor Philoxenos Zacharias of Malabar were present. SHARJAH/PUTHENCURIZ: St. Mary’s Jacobite Syrian Orthodox Soonoro Patriarchal Cathedral, most commonly known as “Marubhoomiyile Manarcadu”, one of the largest and most prominent churches in the Gulf Region under the Jacobite Syrian Christian Denomination is currently conducting a Major Charity Project for 2011, under the banner “Hridayathinayi…Hridayapoorvam...” With this project the Church aims at providing the expenses for the Cardiac Surgeries of 100 deserving Heart patients both among the Elderly and Children alike. Having started since the month of August 2011 and to end in December 2011 the church has been accepting applications from deserving individuals with cardiac ailments from all religious backgrounds.

The official inauguration of the project and distribution of the hospital cards would be during the Akhila Malankara Suvishesha Yogam on Dec 26, 2011 at Puthencruz, Ernakulam under the Chairmanship of Catholicos of India, Dr. Baselios Thomas I. Shri. K. Babu, Honorable Excise Minister, Govt. of Kerala will inaugurate the project. The handover of the Hospital Cards thereby enables the candidates to undergo the surgery and treatment in two of the best Multi Specialty Cardiac Facility Hospitals in Kerala viz. Medical Trust Hospital, Ernakulam and Bharath Hospital, Kottayam.

The Cathedral has made it a point to keep aside 10% of its revenue earned for charity purposes, and apart from these, this Major Charity is a project worth 1 Crore and the entire proceeds we have collected in this name will entirely used solely for this purpose to the last penny as informed by the Vicar, Fr. Joshi Mathew & Church Managing Committee.

VETTIKKAL: Christmas 2011 celebrated in the MSOT Seminary in a blessed and festive mood. The Carol Nite and special gathering started at 6:30 pm in front of the Seminary Chapel. H.G. Dr. Mor Theohilose Kuriakose delivered the Christmas message from John 15:1-10. Later the Principal Rev. Dr. Adai Jacob Cor Episcopa conveyed Christmas greetings to the gathering. Apart from the Seminary family, this years celebration was attended by guests from Germany, Austria and Sweden. Carol songs were sung by Seminary Choir and all the classes were also taken part in bringing melodious Christmas carols. A German Carl song by Ms Jani and the tablau by Eco-club were the special attractions of the day. The celebration ended up with a delicious Christmas dinner.

Secretary for the Holy Episcopal Synod in India & Metropolitan of Kochi, Mor Gregorios Joseph will lead the services in St. James Jacobite Syriac Orthodox Church, Doha, Qatar. The services will start today by 6.00 PM. Vicar Fr. Thomas P David & Fr. Roji Panikkaveettil will assist Metropolitan. Metropolitan of Kollam & National President of JSOYA, Mor Theodosius Mathews will lead the Christmas Service at St. George JSO Reesh Church, Kuwait City. The service will start by 6.00 PM. The Christmas services at Churches in Baharain, Oman & UAE also will be started by 6.00 PM. Carol Night will be held at St. James JSO Church, Doha following the Christmas Service, in the church premises.

Delegation from Malankara led by His Beatitude Catholicos of India visits Holy Father

MA`ARAT SAYYIDANAYA, DAMASCUS: Metropolitan delegation led by His Beatitude the Catholicos of India, Dr. Aboon Mor Baselios Thomas I visited Holy Father on December 20, 21, 2011. Mor Gregorios Joseph (Metropolitan of Kochi Diocese & Malankara Episcopal Synod Secretary), Mor Dioscorus Kuriakose (Metropolitan of the Simhasana Churches in Malecuriz & Environs), Mor Geevarghese Athanasius (Metropolitan of Simhasana Churches), Dr. Mor Athanasius Elias (President of the Antiochean Movement in India & Malankara Clergy Association) are along with His Beatitude.

The delegation was welcomed at the Patriarchal Monastery by His Eminence Mor Philoxenos Matthiyas Nayis, The Assistant to His Holiness, Mor Theophilos George Saliba, Archbishop of Mount Lebanon & Hon. Secretary to the Universal Synod, Archbishop Mor Osthatheos Matha Rohum of Euphrates & Jazirah, Archbishop Mor Clemis Daniel Kurieh of Beirut, Rev. Rabban Mathews Karimpanakkal Hon. Secretary to His Holiness in India Affairs.

Special prayer was held at Patriarchal Cathedral for Late Archbishop Mor Severius Zakka Ishak. His Holiness led the prayers. His Beatitude and Metropolitans assisted Holy Father. HB Catholicos of India conveyed the condolence of Malankara Church on the sad demise of Mor Severius.

MUMBAI: Metropolitan of Trichur, Mumbai, Ireland Diocese, Mor Eusebios Kuriakose inaugurated the Bala Kalotsavam of MJSSA Mumbai Diocese. The event held at Nerul St. Thomas JSO Church. Fr. Joseph Vazhayil, Shri. T I Idicheria, Shri. Joseph K Mathew, Shri. Jimmy P P, Shri. T V Cherian, Shri. Mathew Thomas, Shri. Babu T Kurian, Shri. O I Samuel, Shri. N C Joseph spoke on the occasion. The champions were St. Gregorios Sunday School, Mulund. St. Thomas Sunday School, Nerul and St. Peter's Sunday School, Malad respectively were First and Second Runner Up.

CHANGANACHERRY: The Christmas Celebrations of MGJSM Changanacherry Region was held at SB College, Changanacherry on 20th December 2011. The Meeting was presided over by Prof. Jose D. Kaippally. The Christmas Message was delivered by Dr. Kuriakose Corepiscopa Moolayil who stressed on the importance of freeing Christmas from the commercialization and finding the true essence of Christmas. After the message, a musical feast was also performed by Wesley P. Kuruvila.  Rev. Fr. Mohan Mudanthangilil, Rev. Fr. Jose Mullakkeriyil also shared their Christmas blessings with the gathering. Basil Thampi ( MGJSM Central Committee, Kandanad Region) felicitated the gathering. Msamrono Bibin Andrews (Secretary, MGJSM, SB college) thanked the gathering and the meeting ended with prayer and agape. Students belonging to various other christian denominations such as the Syro-Malabar Church, Marthoma Syrian Church, Church of South India, etc. also attended the meeting.

ANGAMALY: Rev. Fr. George Varghese Vayaliparambil has been nominated as Regional Director for child and Teen's Mission of the Ankamaly Region of the Ankamaly diocese. Fr George Varghese is at present serving as the Vice-president of MGJSM and the Co-ordinater of Mor Athanasius Rehabilitation Center for Mentally Challenged (MARC) at Perumbavoor Region of Ankamaly Diocese.

Dr. Mor Coorilos attends joint preparatory meeting on New Economic Architecture in Geneva

GENEVA: Dr. Mor Coorilos Geevarghese, Metropolitan of Niranam Diocese attended a Preparatory Meeting on New Financial and Economic Architecture, jointly organized by the World Council of Churches (WCC), the Council for World Mission (CWM) and the World Communion of Reformed Churches (WCRC). Dr. Mor Coorilos was invited to represent the WCC in the meeting which was held at John Knox Centre, Geneva from 11-14 December 2011. Dr. Coorilos presented a paper on "Ethical Deficits in the Current Financial and Economic Architecture". The meeting was attended by 15 selected theologians, ethicists, economists and church leaders, representing the three organizations. The meeting also made plans for a Global Conference on the same theme to be held in October 2012 in Brazil.

Archbishop Mor Gregorios Yuhanna Ibrahim attends the Senior Staff Meeting of 9th Doha Conference Dialogue of Inter Faith Dialogue at Doha, Qatar

DOHA, QATAR: Archbishop of Aleppo, Mor Gregorios Yuhanna Ibrahim attended the senior staff meeting of 9th Doha Conference of inter Faith Dialogue conducted by Doha International Centre for Inter Faith Dialogue (DICID, Website) at its HQ at Doha, Qatar on Dec 15, Thursday. Prof. Ibrahim Saleh Al-Naimi, Former President of Qatar University & Chairman, DICID welcomed the guests. The meeting was convened to discuss about the outcomes of International Inter Faith Conference conducted at Doha from October 24 - 26, 2011. Archbishop Mor Theophilos George Saliba & Mor Gregorios Yuhanna Ibrahim had represented Syriac Orthodox Church in the conference and presented papers.

Doha International Center for Interfaith Dialogue was established as a result of a recommendation of the Fifth Doha Interfaith Conference on May 2007 in Doha. The center was opened officially in May 2008. The main role of the centre will primarily be to spread the culture of dialogue, the peaceful coexistence of humanity and the acceptance of others. Archbishop Mor Theophilos George Saliba serves DICID as its Member of International Advisory Board.

Charity year 2012 Inagurated at St. Mary's JSO Church Poothamkutty

ANGAMALY: The CHARITY YEAR-2012 of the St.Mary’s Jacobite Syrian Christian Youth Association, Poothamkutty was formally inaugurated by the Regional Youth Director Rev. Fr. Alias Ipe Parackal on Sunday, the 18th of December 2011. The inaugural function was held at Eldho Mor Baselios Orphanage, Kothamangalam. Rev. Fr. Siju Varghese, the Public Relations Officer of the Orphanage welcomed the team. Rev.Fr. Alias Ipe Parackal inaugurated the function cutting the Christmas Cake. In his inaugural address, Rev. Fr. Alias Ipe recalled the first Christmas Child who had the misfortune to overcome the challenges of the world even he was in the womb of his Mother. The hardships followed him up to his tomb. “Christ the babe comes in Christmas as Christ the Saviour comes on the Cross-seeking only our embrace. The mystery so large becomes the babe so small and infinite God becomes infant”-Fr. Ipe added. Christmas reminds us the struggles and challenges of the world which we may have to brazen out, focusing our eyes and ways on the Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.
The members of the youth Association presented various cultural events along with the inmates of the Orphanage which is run by H. G. Dr. Abraham Mor Severios. Mr. Melwin, the secretary of the St.Mary’s Youth Association, Mr.P.P.Eldho, the co-ordinator, Mr. T. M. Yakob, the Parish Secretary, Mr. Paulose, the Treasurer led the Programme.

പിറവം സെന്റ് ജോസഫ് ഹൈസ്‌ക്കൂള്‍ ഗ്രൗണ്ടില്‍ നിന്നും ആരംഭിച്ച റാലിയില്‍ 20 കുടുംബയൂണിറ്റുകളിലെയും അംഗങ്ങള്‍ ശുഭ്രവസ്ത്രധാരികളായി അണിചേര്‍ന്നു. ഇടവക പള്ളിയും ക്രിസ്തീയ പാരമ്പര്യവുമായി ബന്ധപ്പെട്ടതും ബൈബിളില്‍ നിന്നും പ്രചോദനം ഉള്‍ക്കൊണ്ടതുമായ നിരവധി പ്രച്ഛന്നവേഷങ്ങളാണ് റാലിയുടനീളം കാണികളുടെ മനം കവര്‍ന്നത്. വനിതാ ശിങ്കാരി മേളം, ബാന്‍ഡ് സെറ്റുകള്‍ തുടങ്ങി വ്യത്യസ്ത താളമേളങ്ങള്‍ റാലിക്ക് കൊഴുപ്പ് നല്‍കി. പിറവം ടൗണിലൂടെ ചിട്ടയോടെ നീങ്ങിയ ആയിരക്കണക്കിനാളുകള്‍ പങ്കെടുത്ത വിശ്വാസറാലി ആറ് മണിയോടെ പള്ളിയിലെത്തി ചേര്‍ന്നു.

Rev. Fr. Paulose Parekkara ordained as Corepiscopa

PERUMBAVOOR: Fr. Paulose Parekkara, the famous evangelist & Secretary of EAE, was elevated to the rank of Cor Episcopus. His Beatitude Catholicos Dr. Baselios Thomas I was the chief celebrant of the ordination ceremony held at St. Thomas JSO Church, Iringole, Perumbavoor, the cathedral church of EAE, on Dec 13, Tuesday. Metropolitan of EAE, Mor Chrisostomos Markose was the co celebrant. Many priests from EAE, Ankamali, Cochin, Kandanad & Trichur Dioceses and hundreds of faithful attended.
